This Privacy Policy explains how TraLed Studio ("TraLed", "we", "us") collects and uses personal data when you visit traled.eu (the "Website"), contact us, request a free test translation, become a client, or receive a business message from us.

We process personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1Who is responsible for your data

2What data we collect and why

2.1. When you visit the Website

Technical data. Our hosting provider automatically processes technical data needed to deliver the Website securely, such as IP address, browser type, device information, requested pages and time of access (server logs).

• Purpose: operating, securing and troubleshooting the Website.
• Legal basis: our legitimate interest in providing a secure, working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Analytics (only with your consent). If you click "Accept" in the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Website — for example which pages are visited, how long visits last, approximate location (country/city level), device and browser type, and how visitors arrived.

• Purpose: seeing which pages help studios most, so we can improve them.
• Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and applicable cookie rules).
• If you click "Decline", Google Analytics is not loaded.

2.2. When you contact us or request a free test

When you use the contact form, email us or message us on Discord, we collect what you provide, typically:

• first and last name;
• email address (and Discord username, if you contact us there);
• project name, project link, word count and languages needed;
• your message and any text or files you send us.
• Purpose: answering your enquiry, preparing a quote, carrying out the free test translation.
• Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in replying to business enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Please do not include personal data in the text you send for translation unless it is necessary. If your Source Material does contain personal data, we process it only to perform the translation and on your behalf.

2.3. When you become a client

We process contact details, project communications, Source Material, Deliverables, and billing and payment information (such as company or name, billing details, amounts, payment dates and the payment method used).

• Purpose: providing the Services, delivering Free Corrections, invoicing and receiving payment.
• Legal basis: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and compliance with legal obligations, such as accounting and tax rules (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

We do not store full card numbers. Payments are processed by the payment provider you use, under its own privacy policy.

2.4. Business outreach

We may contact game studios and developers about our services using business contact details they have made publicly available for that purpose, for example the support or contact email published on a game's Steam store page or on the studio's website. In that case we process the studio or developer name, the published email address, the public information about the game (such as title, genre and announced release window) and our correspondence.

• Purpose: offering our localization services to businesses for whom they are likely to be relevant.
• Legal basis: our legitimate interest in business-to-business marketing (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• Source: publicly available sources, such as Steam store pages and developer websites.

You can object at any time. Every message includes a simple way to opt out — reply "no" or write to contact@traled.eu — and we will not contact you again. We keep your email address on an internal suppression list solely to make sure of that.

3Who we share data with

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the Website and the business, and only as far as needed:

• Email provider: Zoho Corporation (Zoho Mail) — sending and receiving email.
• Website hosting: our hosting provider — the server that hosts the Website, contact form submissions and server logs.
• Analytics (only with consent): Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC — Google Analytics.
• Communication: Discord Inc. — only if you choose to contact us on Discord.
• Payments: the bank or payment provider agreed with the client for an Order (for example bank transfer, PayPal or Wise) — processing payments.
• Collaborators: trusted translators or reviewers bound by confidentiality, only where needed to deliver your project.
• Authorities or advisers: where required by law, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

These providers process data under their own obligations or on our instructions, as applicable.

4International transfers

Some providers (such as Google, Discord or Zoho) may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where this happens, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards, such as an adequacy decision (including the EU–US Data Privacy Framework for certified companies) or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

5Cookies

The Website uses:

• Strictly necessary cookies or storage — needed for the Website to work, for example to remember your cookie choice. These do not require consent.
• Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) — set only if you click "Accept". They typically include cookies named _ga and _ga_<ID>, which usually last up to 2 years.

You can change your choice at any time by clearing cookies and site data for traled.eu in your browser; the cookie banner will then appear again and you can choose "Accept" or "Decline". You can also block cookies in your browser settings.

6How long we keep data

• Enquiries and free test requests that do not lead to a project: up to 24 months after our last contact.
• Client project data (communications, Source Material, Deliverables): for as long as we provide Free Corrections for the project, and in any case no longer than necessary for that purpose. You may ask us to delete project files earlier; Free Corrections may then no longer be possible.
• Billing and accounting records: for as long as required by applicable accounting and tax law.
• Outreach data: up to 24 months after our last message if there is no response; opt-out requests are kept on the suppression list for as long as needed to respect them.
• Google Analytics data: retained for the period set in our Google Analytics settings, at most 14 months.
• Server logs: according to the hosting provider's standard retention.

7Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you;
• rectify inaccurate data;
• erase your data, where the conditions are met;
• restrict processing, where the conditions are met;
• data portability, where processing is based on consent or contract and carried out by automated means;
• object to processing based on legitimate interest, including business outreach at any time;
• withdraw consent at any time (for example for analytics), without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal.

To exercise any right, write to contact@traled.eu. We may need to verify your identity. We respond within one month, as required by the GDPR.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the EU country where you live, work, or where you believe an infringement occurred.

8Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including secure (HTTPS) connections, access-protected accounts and limiting access to project files to those who need them. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data appropriately.

9Children

The Website and Services are intended for businesses and professionals. They are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

10Automated decisions

We do not make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects based solely on automated processing.

11Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy, for example when our services, providers or legal status change. The current version is always available on the Website, with its "Last updated" date.
